Over the month of September the last, and most important part, of my Doctor of Ministry program will take place. I will be hosting a four part conversation called “Pathways to Welcoming.” The goal will be to help us think about how we might be more intentionally welcoming to those outside our walls. We do a fabulous job of welcoming people once they enter I building, but how might we be intentional about our welcoming to communities that have never been inside our building? This will be an opportunity for us to talk together, to learn how to tell our stories, both personal and congregational, to learn how a diverse group of people from outside our walls might offer us life in a new way, and how we might express our desire to welcome to the community.
